Hypnosis To Stop Smoking Attempt Behavior Behavior

There are many that swear that hypnosis to stop smoking helped them kick the habit while others could not wait for the session to end so they could light up the next cigarette. The average success rate for those looking at hypnosis to stop smoking is around 60 to 65 percent with the ability of the hypnotist playing only part of the role in the success. The number one reason those undergoing hypnosis are not successful in giving up the butts is they lack the person desire to quit.

As depicted in movies and on television, hypnosis does not make people squawk like chickens or do a funny dance when a bell is rung. In reality, a person cannot be made to perform any act while hypnotized that they would not normally perform. Rather, hypnosis to stop smoking is a means of refocusing someone's thoughts to their health and to healthier habits, subconsciously making smoking an unwanted activity.

Relaxation is the key to a successful hypnotic session and for most people attending a hypnosis to stop smoking session, they will initially be relaxed to make their mind more susceptible to receiving the suggestion and then they will be given the notion that they do not need to smoke and that it will be unhealthy for them to do so.

No Sleep Walking Or Trances Involved In Process

There are numerous people that offer hypnosis to stop smoking sessions, many charge a fee for the typical group setting while others perform the service for free, often selling self-hypnosis materials to make their money from the session. Most hypnotists using hypnosis to stop smoking agree that one session is rarely enough for a person to quit smoking, but once having gone through a session using self-hypnosis materials and techniques they can reinforce the suggestion daily on their own and improve their chances of success.

For some attending a hypnosis to stop smoking session, it is the size of the group that makes them skeptical about successfully giving up the habit. Being in a room with 30 to 60 other people may also make them uncomfortable to the point that they cannot relax and benefit from the session. There are those however, who end their cigarette cravings after only one hypnosis to stop smoking session.

Many hospitals, medical clinics and health organizations sponsor hypnosis to stop smoking clinics believing that in spite of the low first-time success rate, if people continue to return for the sessions they will eventually quit smoking and reduce their risk of smoke-related health concerns.
