A New Way To Use The Stop Smoking Patch

The stop smoking patch is actually a nicotine patch meant to feed through the skin minuscule amounts of nicotine to encourage the smoker stay off cigarettes. Over a fixed schedule, the dosage of the stop smoking patch will decrease and very soon, you will find yourself free from a hateful and harmful habit called smoking.

The Success Rate Of The Stop Smoking Patch Enhanced

There have been a good number of research studies, which point to the possibility of a novel way to use the patch whereby you can quit the habit for good. This involves wearing the stop smoking patch some two weeks before you decide to quit. This means that you should take things very seriously whereby you would plan the time frame and the methods by which you would quit smoking.

Some experts had argued that using the stop smoking patch two weeks in advance while you are still smoking could inundate the body with extra nicotine, which would create cravings for higher dosage rather than help you quit. However, when the research studies were conducted, it was found that such premises are baseless. Actually, this nicotine patch in used two weeks before the D-date of your quitting increases your chances to quit forever manifold.

It is not yet understood how it works, but the studies clearly show that those volunteers wearing the stop smoking patch two weeks in advance stuck through the regime of quitting better than those who used on the day they decided to quit. Though this is not yet totally sold as a perfect idea, it is a novel approach which helps the cause and hence, worth trying.

In the meantime, your effort to stop smoking can be backed up by other well tried and tested methods such as acupressure, acupuncture, laser treatment and hypnosis to name a few. There are also many herbal teas and plants, which can contribute greatly in this fight.

There are a number of alternative medications such as herbs and homeopathy, which can be very helpful in stubborn cases. Worth a mention here, is a very versatile herb, i.e. the Indian tobacco or Lobelia. This herb affects the body in similar manner as the nicotine from the cigarettes, excluding all the negative effects of the cigarette. Another such herb is the Cao Su, which is found in China. This herb works by suppressing the desire to smoke. Used continuously over a period of time, completely wipes out the craving for cigarettes.

You can choose whatever you think suits you best and close the chapter of smoking forever.
